Variants (pick the right one)
- code: XL330-M077-T, use: low torque, high speed; Koch leader
- code: XL330-M288-T, use: higher torque; Koch follower wrist and gripper
Mistakes to avoid
- 12V destroys XL330s instantly; one Koch builder burned a set by scanning them on the 12V supply.
- LeKiwi's Dynamixel variant uses the Koch v1.1 arm, so it needs the same XL330s.
Builds that use it
Koch v1.1
intermediate · $477 to $560
Dynamixel-based leader and follower arm pair, the first LeRobot reference arm; pricier than SO-101 but uses ROBOTIS servos.
LeKiwi
intermediate · $482 to $620
Three-wheel omnidirectional base carrying an SO-101 arm, with a Raspberry Pi 5 and two cameras, for mobile manipulation.
